After devoting a number of years to education and advanced appraisal practice, Joe Thompson, President of Thompson Valuation & Consulting, Inc. obtained the Appraisal Institute’s prestigious MAI membership designation.
The MAI designation is earned upon the successful completion of a graduate-level curriculum, which includes a comprehensive exam, a written demonstration appraisal report, and attaining 6,000 hours of qualifying experience requirements.
Also, designees must abide by both the appraisal profession’s Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP) and the Appraisal Institute’s Standards of Professional Practice and Code of Ethics.
In addition, Mr. Thompson has earned the Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) designation. Recognized for its preeminence within the industry, the CCIM curriculum represents the core knowledge expected of commercial investment practitioners, regardless of the diversity of specializations within the industry.
